Privacy Policy
1 Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how BYTEPEAK TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD. ("BytePeak Technology", "we", "us" or
"our") handles information in connection with the website published at bytepeak-tech.com and with the
software tools, mobile applications and digital services that we develop and operate. It applies to
visitors to this website and to users of our products. By using this website or our products, you
acknowledge the practices described here. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website or
the products.
2 Information We Collect
We aim to collect as little information as a feature can reasonably work with. In practice this may include:
- Website technical data. When a page is requested, the hosting infrastructure records standard server log entries such as the requested address, the time of the request, the referring page, the browser type and an abbreviated network address. These records are used to keep the site available and secure.
- Correspondence. If you write to our business email address, we receive your email address, the content of your message and any attachments you choose to send. We keep this correspondence so that a question can be answered and a record of the exchange maintained.
- Product account data. Where a product feature requires an account, we collect the identifiers needed to operate it, such as an account reference and the settings you configure. We do not ask for information a feature does not use.
- Diagnostic data. Applications may produce crash reports and performance diagnostics. Where these are collected, they are used to identify defects and are associated with a device or installation identifier rather than with your name.
- Purchase entitlements. Purchases and subscriptions processed by a platform store are handled by that platform. We receive confirmation that an entitlement exists and its status; we do not receive your full payment card details.
We do not ask for, and do not wish to receive, special categories of personal information through this
website or through ordinary product use.
3 How We Use Information
Information is used for the purposes for which it was collected, and for closely related purposes:
- to operate, maintain and secure the website and our products;
- to respond to enquiries, verification requests and support reports;
- to diagnose faults, fix defects and improve reliability;
- to confirm and manage product entitlements and subscriptions;
- to meet record-keeping and legal obligations that apply to the company;
- to protect the company, its users and its products from misuse, fraud or abuse.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use information collected through this website for
cross-site advertising.
4 Cookies and Website Analytics
This website is designed to work without advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. A small number of
strictly functional mechanisms may be used to remember interface preferences, such as whether a navigation
panel was opened. These do not identify you across other websites. If aggregate, privacy-respecting
measurement is introduced in future, it will be limited to summary statistics such as page requests and
approximate region, and this policy will be updated before it is enabled.
You can block or remove cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking functional
storage may affect minor interface behaviour, but the substantive content of this website remains
available.
5 Mobile Applications and Digital Services
Our mobile applications are built to request platform permissions only where a feature depends on them,
and to explain the purpose at the point of use. Where a feature can operate locally, data is kept on the
device. Where data is sent to a service we operate, it is limited to what the feature requires, such as an
account reference, a synchronisation payload or a diagnostic record. Subscription information, where a
paid plan exists, is presented before purchase, including price, duration, renewal behaviour and how to
cancel through the platform account settings.
6 Data Security
We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information held: encrypted transport
for data in transit, restricted access to production systems, credentials kept outside source code, and a
documented release process for software changes. No system can be guaranteed to be entirely secure, so we
also maintain a route for reporting a suspected issue, and reported issues are investigated and addressed.
7 Third-Party Services
We rely on a small number of service providers to operate the business, which may include website hosting,
business email, application distribution and purchase processing through a platform store, and crash
diagnostics. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We choose
providers that impose data protection commitments, and we limit the information shared with them to what
the service requires. A platform store's handling of your purchase and account information is governed by
that platform's own policy rather than by this one.
8 User Choices and Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, to
correct information that is inaccurate, to delete information we no longer need, or to stop sending you
non-essential messages. You may also withdraw a consent you previously gave, without affecting the
lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. Requests can be sent to
[email protected]. We may need to verify your
identity before acting on a request, and we may be required to retain certain records where the law
obliges us to do so.
9 Data Retention
Information is kept only for as long as it serves the purpose for which it was collected, or as long as a
legal or accounting obligation requires. Correspondence is generally retained while an enquiry or a
commercial relationship is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Diagnostic records are kept for
a shorter window, sufficient to identify and resolve recurring defects. When information is no longer
needed, it is deleted or anonymised. Where a deletion is technically deferred — for example, while a
backup cycle completes — the information remains protected and is not used for other purposes.
10 Changes to This Policy
This policy may be revised as the company's products, services or legal obligations change. The effective
date at the top of this section indicates when the current version took effect. Material changes will be
reflected on this page before they apply to new uses of information.
11 Contact Us
